Farmers protest against farm laws 2020: The Kisan Majdoor Sangharsh Committee and Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) held a joint press conference on Friday at the Singhu border. Sarvan Singh Pandher and Joginder Singh Ugrahan were present during the press conference.
Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) chief Joginder Singh Ugrahan said that “The government was desperate to defame the farmers’ protest. Attempts were being made to prevent the agitation from reaching in the BJP-ruled states.”
We will not leave Delhi till the farm laws 2020 get repealed, he said.
“We will continue to agree on a common program, but our movement will be different,” Ugrahan said, adding that there would be unity on the minimum programs.
The farmers’ protest has been intensified against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
